Download the torrent!
Click here for the dynamic model hak torrent. This version was edited by DanishPastry, but you can make your own by following the directions found in various spots on the Avlis forums.
Remember, this is a client-side hak, so other players do not see the dynamic models, unless they also use the edited hak. Also, this is an unofficial edited version of the Avlis_main_1_6.hak file, and is utterly unsupported by the Team (even though we think it's cool).
What you will bedownloading is a .torrent file, suitable for downloading the actual hak via one of the millions of BitTorrent clients out there. Please look below for directions on using .torrents if you haven't before, and please seed the file once you've downloaded it... most clients will do this automatically, as long as you don't shut off the torrent client when you're done.
As always, you can find me in #avlis on the Stratics IRC network at stratics.frws.com or irc.glowfish.de.

BitTorrent Howto
In preparation for hosting the .torrent file, I thought I should dig up a howto for people who haven't user torrents before. So, click here for an explanation, or you can grab me in #avlis on the stratics irc network, between about 01:00 GMT and 06:00 GMT.

Open for Business!
OK! So, I'm spool32, a DM and Team Member on the Neverwinter Nights persistent world called Avlis. You can find everything you need to know about the place at http://www.avlis.org. Of course, I do other stuff (heh) but this blog is specifically here to offer a couple of outside comments and, and a place to link to my .torrent files for the game.
It's very likely that this blog will be super-boring, but you never know. I might get the itch to comment on campaigns I run outside the normal scope of the game, or otherwise rattle on about DM stuff and my own philosophy on how to create dynamic rich content in the confines of an online game. It's a challenge I enjoy immensely, and I really wish we could afford to pay somebody to deal with the headaches so that DMs could dedicate themselves to creating content.
Anyhow, later today I'll link to the first .torrent, and I hope that everyone reading this downloads it even if they don't plan to use it, so that we can leverage the distributed nature of the .torrent system and ease up on bandwidth for everyone.
Jesus effing Christ, I just used the word "leverage" as a verb, in public. I think I'll go punish myself by slicing my fingers on the inside of a PC case. How did I turn into a manager?
I think it was the paychecks that did it.
